NEURO ISLANDS / 2025
Participatory painting workshop held at I.P.A.B. Monte Crocetta. Residents living with Alzheimer’s collaborated to produce three large collective paintings on reclaimed bed sheets, using handcrafted tempera and earth pigments. The process combined collective storytelling and painting practices, adapted to participants’ rhythms and capacities, and supported by on-site educators and a psychologist. Outcomes include three site-responsive works ready for internal or external display and reinforced social exchange, foregrounding presence, shared authorship, and collective making in care settings.
