ARTE ROM PROJECT / 2023
Developed in collaboration with Tangram Social Cooperative and social educator Elia Iotti, Arte Rom was a short-term workshop series designed for three adolescents from the local Roma community. Over the course of four sessions, participants engaged in creative exploration through painting and textile design, using t-shirts as their primary medium. The workshops encouraged self-expression and identity-building through accessible artistic processes. Participants began by selecting an animal symbol, sketching it, and transferring the image onto fabric. In subsequent sessions, they experimented with reinterpreting iconic brand logos through color and composition, playfully asserting their own visual language. The project concluded with a guided visit to the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale—offering participants a broader cultural context and exposure to contemporary artistic practices.
