"Nuove Ri-Generazioni" is a year-long project supported by the European Solidarity Corps, aimed at empowering adolescents facing social and educational challenges. Through a collaborative approach involving educators, artisans, and artists, the project provided creative workshops for youths disengaged from traditional education and those under neuropsychiatric care. From June 2023 to June 2024, participants engaged in weekly workshops held in an art studio and a community garden. These sessions fostered personal growth, community inclusion, and a sense of belonging. The artistic activities focused on developing creative and reflective skills while encouraging participants to reimagine their life paths. The project emphasized sustainability and social cohesion by using recycled materials and collaborating with local organizations. A multidisciplinary team, including artists, environmental experts, and counselors, adapted the program to meet the evolving needs of participants. The project culminated in a public event at the Bizzart Social Cooperative, where participants showcased two large-scale collective paintings and other artworks made from recycled materials. This closing event, also a solidarity fundraiser, highlighted the power of art to foster social inclusion, environmental awareness, and community connection.
