ETHEREAL GROUNDS / Bangalore, IN (2025)
Curated by Ali Novello and hosted at Mango Trails, Ethereal Grounds shaped a process-led approach to painting. Materials were sourced at Chickpet Market, Bangalore: tempera and recycled jute grounded the work in local practices. The work continued outdoors at Mango Trails, where vegetation, shifting light and wind acted as active agents in the making. The residency culminated in a site-specific installation examining labour and impermanence in relation to the environment. Exchanges with fellow residents, local artisans and the Academy of Fine Arts in Bangalore fostered dialogue on materiality and ecological awareness and became occasions to share reflections on craft, place and community.
